Gabriel Catania

Gabriel Catania specializes in advising companies on Business and Strategy Development in a variety of areas, from Performance Management to Supply Chain Management and from optimization to corporate governance and analysis of mergers and acquisitions.

Gabriel has extensive experience as CFO, logistics and supply chain director and operations manager in the chemical and petrochemical industry, where he has in charge of several worldwide projects, such as the order to cash process including production planning (turnover of about $1 billion, 7 plants in the US and in Europe), and the worldwide implementation of SAP (600 users in the US, Europe, and Asia). He has in-depth understanding of management and strategic tools such as the Balanced Scorecard, Activity-Based Costing and Activity-Based Management, Lean Manufacturing, and the Theory of Constraints.

Recently Gabriel contributed, as external experts, to the implementation of a performance-based remuneration system for 130 managers. He is currently boardmember and advising partner for many of his clients as well as Presidents of the Pôle Transport & Logistique Luxembourgeois and VP of the Cluster Transport & Logistique Wallonia (Belgium), organizations aimed at positioning the region for logistics excellence. He is also a lecturer at HEC-The business School of the University of Liège in Management Control and Budgeting.
Gabriel has a Master's degree in Commercial Engineering, specializing in Business Administration, with honors from Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) of Liège. He also attended the "New Leader Program" at the Thunderbird University in Arizona, US.
